Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must have passed 12th grade (Intermediate) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational institution.

Selection Criteria for Anganwadi Worker/Helper:

• Priority for Educational Qualification:
  • The candidate with the highest educational qualification (excluding additional subjects) will be selected for the position of Worker/Helper.
• In Case of Equal Qualification:
  • If two or more candidates have the same highest educational qualification, the candidate with higher merit (marks) will be selected.
• In Case of Equal Qualification and Merit:
  • If two or more candidates have the same qualification and merit, the candidate with the higher age will be selected for the position of Worker/Helper.

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years (as of the date of the vacancy publication).
• Retirement Age: Anganwadi Workers/Helpers can continue working up to 65 years of age. After this, they will automatically be retired from service.

Residence Requirement:

• Candidates must be a resident of the relevant ward.
• A permanent residence certificate issued by the competent authority, which includes the ward details, must be attached with the application.

Reserved Categories for Selection:

• Candidates eligible for the reserved category (as per the Bihar State Election Commission’s Panchayat or Municipal Election notification) within the specified ward will be considered for the Anganwadi Worker/Helper position.

Note:

• If no qualified female candidates are available in the reserved ward category, then candidates from the following categories will be considered in order:
  • Scheduled Tribes (ST)
  • Scheduled Castes (SC)
  • Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), including minorities
  • Backward Classes (BC), including minorities
  • General Category (including minorities)
