Chipper Grinder:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in any trade.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the Shipbuilding industry as a Chipper Grinder.

Composite Welder:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Welder” or “Welder (G&E)/ TIG/ MIG Welder/ Structural Welder/ Welder (Pipe and Pressure Vessels)/ Advanced Welder.”

Electric Crane Operator:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the Electrician trade.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MDL/ Shipbuilding industry as an Electric Crane Operator.

Electrician:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Electrician.”

Electronic Mechanic:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Electronic Mechanic” or related trades such as Mechanic Radio and Radar Aircraft/ Mechanic Television (Video)/ Mechanic cum Operator Electronics Communication system/ Mechanic Communication Equipment Maintenance/ Mechanic Radio & TV/ Weapon & Radar.

Fitter:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Fitter/ Marine Engineer Fitter/ Shipwright (Steel).”
• Or National Apprenticeship Certificate in any other trade with at least 1 year of experience in MDL/ Shipbuilding industry as a Fitter.

Gas Cutter:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Structural Fitter/ Welder (G&E)/ TIG/ MIG Welder/ Structural Welder/ Welder (Pipe and Pressure Vessels)/ Advanced Welder/ Gas Cutter.”

Jr. Hindi Translator:

• Post-Graduation (2 years) in Hindi or English with the other as a subject at Graduation level.
• Or Post-Graduation in any subject with Hindi/ English as medium.
• Or Post-Graduation in Hindi with English as a compulsory/ elective subject.
• 5 years of post-qualification experience in translation between Hindi and English.

Jr. Draughtsman (Mechanical):

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in Draughtsman (Mechanical) from NCVT or equivalent.

Jr. Draughtsman (Electrical/Electronics):

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Electrical (Electrical/ Power Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electrical & Instrumentation) or Electronics (Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/ Allied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication).

Jr. Q.C. Inspector (Mechanical):

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechanical & Industrial Engg./ Mechanical & Production Engg./ Shipbuilding/ Allied Mechanical Engg.).

Jr. Q.C. Inspector (Electrical/Electronics):

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (Electrical/ Power Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics/ Electronics & Communication).

Millwright Mechanic:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Millwright Maintenance Mechanic” or “Mechanic Advanced Machine Tool Maintenance.”

Machinist:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Machinist” or “Machinist (Grinder).”

Jr. Planner Estimator (Mechanical):

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechanical & Industrial Engg./ Shipbuilding/ Allied Mechanical Engg.).

Jr. Planner Estimator (Electrical/Electronics):

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related fields.

Rigger:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Rigger.”

Store Keeper/ Store Staff:

• Full-time 3-year Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Shipbuilding/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Marine Engineering).
• Additional qualification in Material Management and knowledge of computers is preferred.

Structural Fabricator:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Structural Fitter/ Structural Fabricator.”
• Or experience as a Structural Fitter in MDL/ Shipbuilding industry for a minimum of 5 years.

Utility Hand (Skilled):

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in “Fitter/ Marine Engineer Fitter/ Shipwright (Steel)” or any other trade with 1 year of experience in Shipbuilding Industry.

Wood Work Technician:

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of “Carpenter/ Shipwright (Wood).”

Fire Fighter:

• Passed SSC or equivalent with a Diploma/Certificate in Fire Fighting (minimum 6 months duration).
• Must possess a valid Heavy Duty Vehicle Licence.

Utility Hand (Semi-Skilled):

• National Apprenticeship Certificate in any trade with 5 years of experience in MDL/ Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand.

Master 1st Class:

• Certificate of competency (1st Class Master) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/ Mercantile Marine Dept.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating Tugs with 565 BHP and above, OR Ex-servicemen from the Indian Navy with 15 years of experience holding 1st Class Master certificate.

Licence to Act Engineer:

• Certificate of competency (License to Act Engineer) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/ Mercantile Marine Dept.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as Engine Driver 1st Class.
• Ex-servicemen from the Indian Navy with 15 years of experience and holding a License to Act Engineer Certificate will be given preference.
