Secondary Teacher

1. Teacher Eligibility Test: Passed Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by Central or Bihar Government.
2. Educational Qualification:
   • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
   • For SC/ST/Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Classes and PWD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in the minimum required marks will be provided.
3. B.Ed. Qualification:
   • B.Ed. degree from a recognized teacher training institute before the implementation of the National Council for Teacher Education Act.
   • B.Ed. degree from a teacher training institute recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education after the implementation of the Act.
4. Preferred Qualification: Candidates with an Honors degree/equivalent qualification in the relevant subject will be given preference.
5. Equivalent Qualifications: Subjects such as Alim and Shastri will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree as per Resolution No. 1355, Clause 2.2 and 2.3.
6. Experience:
   • 3 years of teaching experience as a Graduate Teacher in a recognized +2 school.
   • Experience from both Bihar state and other state/central government recognized +2 schools is valid.
   • For government school experience, an experience certificate issued by the District Program Officer (Establishment) will be accepted.
   • For non-government school experience, an experience certificate issued by the Principal/Headmaster will be accepted, provided there is clear evidence of payment through the bank during the specified period.

Higher Secondary Teacher

1. Teacher Eligibility Test: Passed Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by Central or Bihar Government.

   • Master’s degree in the specified subject with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized university.
   • For SC/ST/Backward Classes/Extremely Backward Classes and PWD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in the minimum required marks will be provided.
3. B.Ed. Qualification:
   • B.Ed. degree from a recognized teacher training institute before the implementation of the National Council for Teacher Education Act.
   • B.Ed. degree from a teacher training institute recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education after the implementation of the Act.
