Recruitment Overview

Under the Agnipath Scheme, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has declared openings for the Agniveervayu intake 02/2025 and will accept applications from eligible Indian men and women. Beginning on July 8, 2024, and ending on July 28, 2024, interested parties may register online for STAR 02/2025. Candidates born between 03 July 2004 and 03 January 2008 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. The upper age limit for enrolment is 21 years if all stages of the Selection Procedure are cleared.

Educational Qualification

(a) Science Subjects

  • Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • OR
  • Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) from Central, State, and UT recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
  • OR
  • Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

(b) Other Than Science Subjects

  • Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
  • OR
  • Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Notes:

  1. Candidates eligible for Science Subjects examination are also eligible for Other than Science subjects examination and have the option of appearing in both in one sitting during online registration.
  2. Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT as on the date of registration will only be considered.
  3. The exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three years Diploma Course/Two years Vocational Course shall be considered (e.g., 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not rounded off to 50%).

General Medica Standards for Aginveervayu

Physical Standards:

  • Height:

    • Male: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms.
    • Female: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms.
  • Chest:

    • Male: Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cms with a minimum chest expansion of at least 05 cms.
    • Female: The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed, with a minimum range of expansion of 05 cms.
  • Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age.

Medical Requirements:

  • Corneal Surgery: PRK/LASIK procedures are not acceptable.
  • Vision: Must meet Indian Air Force standards.
  • Hearing: Should have normal hearing, able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
  • Dental: Must have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
  • General Health: Candidates should be of normal anatomy without any loss of appendages. They must be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic medical conditions, surgical disabilities, infections, or skin ailments. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in diverse global environments, climates, and terrains.

CASB Agniveervauy Physical Fitness Test (PET)

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Details:

Names of candidates who qualify the online test will be displayed on the CASB Web Portal agnipathvayu.cdac.in. Shortlisted candidates will be called to designated Air Force Selection Centers (ASC) on a specified date for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

PFT Requirements:

  • 1.6 Km Run:

    • Male Candidates: Must complete the run within 7 minutes.
    • Female Candidates: Must complete the run within 8 minutes.
  • Additional Exercises (Male Candidates Only):

    • Complete 10 Push-ups.
    • Complete 10 Sit-ups.
    • Complete 20 Squats.

Candidates must perform the above exercises within the stipulated time to qualify in the Physical Fitness Test.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment Notification 2024

The Indian Air Force invites applications from eligible unmarried male and female candidates (Indian/Nepalese) for the selection test under the Agniveervayu intake 02/2025, part of the Agnipath Scheme.
