Filling of Senior Resident/Tutor Posts:

1. 40% of the positions will be filled by members of the Bihar State Health Service cadre.
2. 40% of the positions will be filled by doctors who have completed postgraduate degree courses (under the Residency Scheme) from medical colleges within the state of Bihar.
3. The remaining 20% of the positions will be filled by doctors who have obtained a postgraduate degree (under the Residency Scheme) from recognized institutions outside the state.

Minimum Educational Qualification for Senior Resident/Tutor Posts:

• The minimum qualification required is a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.

In Case of a Shortage of Eligible Candidates:

• If there are insufficient eligible candidates, diploma holders in the relevant subject will be considered.
• These diploma holders will be awarded 10 additional marks, equivalent to a postgraduate degree in that subject.
• However, in the merit list, they will be placed below the candidates with a postgraduate degree.

Eligibility of Equivalent Postgraduate Degree Holders:

• Candidates with an equivalent postgraduate degree, in accordance with the Indian Medical Council’s teacher eligibility criteria, will also be eligible for selection.
