Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes I to V

1 | Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
2 | Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. |
3 | Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). |
4 | Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). |
5 | Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Candidates must complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of appointment. |
6 | Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. |
Minimum Educational Qualifications for Classes VI to VIII

6 | Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year B.Ed. (Special Education). |
7 | Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible for TET/CTET. Candidates pursuing recognized teacher education courses are also qualified to appear. |
8 | Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. |
